Foot Protectors | Small details for long-term protection

A collection often grows over many years – and some minifigures stand in their place for just as long.

If minifigures are permanently attached directly to studs, their feet can be subjected to slight tension over a long period. Especially with special or valuable figures, many collectors want to avoid this permanent stress as much as possible.

The FigurenGalerie foot protectorsprovide a simple solution for this: place the foot protectors on the studs, stand the figure on top – done. This way, your minifigure is displayed without its feet being pressed permanently onto the studs.

Product description

Your favorite figures should be seen – but without unnecessary strain over the years, if possible.

When a minifigure is traditionally attached to studs, the friction connection creates slight tension on the feet. With very long-term storage or display, such permanent stress can promote material fatigue and small stress cracks.

Our foot protectors were developed specifically for collectors who want to display their minifigures for the long term.

The protectors are simply placed onto the studs of your display or baseplate. The minifigure is then positioned on top. As a result, the figure no longer needs to stand directly on the studs under tension.

Especially for rare, older, or personally valuable minifigures, this is a small addition with a big idea behind it: Collecting with an eye on tomorrow.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Why should I use foot protectors for my minifigures?

When placed directly onto studs, a minifigure's feet are slightly clamped. This is, of course, intended for normal play. However, collectors who display figures unchanged for many years can reduce this permanent tension on the feet by using the foot protectors.

How do the foot protectors work?

The foot protectors are simply placed onto the studs of your display surface. You then place the minifigure onto the protectors. This keeps the figure securely in place without it being subject to the usual clamping tension of the studs.

Do the foot protectors guarantee the prevention of cracks in minifigures?

No. The foot protectors reduce the constant mechanical tension when displaying the figure. They cannot, of course, influence aging, material condition, temperature, and other factors.

Which figures are the foot protectors suitable for?

The foot protectors are designed for classic LEGO® minifigures or correspondingly compatible figure feet. They are not suitable for dual-molded or short legs.

Can I reuse the foot protectors?

Yes. You can remove the protectors at any time and use them for other figures or in a different spot in your display.

Are the foot protectors also of interest for rare collector figures?

That is precisely where the idea makes the most sense. If a figure is to stand in a display for years, direct permanent clamping tension can be avoided without having to forgo the display on a studded surface.

Are the foot protectors suitable for dual-molded or short legs?

No. The foot protectors are designed solely for classic LEGO® minifigures or correspondingly compatible figure feet.
